What to Expect in Your First Session
Your first physical therapy session includes:
1. Medical History
We’ll begin by discussing your current condition, past injuries or surgeries, medical background, and lifestyle. This helps me understand your unique needs.
2. Physical Assessment
I’ll evaluate how your body moves, checking posture, mobility, strength, flexibility, and any areas of pain or limitation. This may include specific functional tests.
3. Personalized Treatment
Based on the assessment, I’ll start a custom treatment plan right away. This may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, or other hands-on techniques to start relieving pain and improving function.
